An Eternal Friendship

I couldn’t excel any test
Of proving your best friend ever
But I craved to be the one
For you in life that really cares

I may not have shown
Outward caring for you ever
Yet my heart longed forever
Only for your happiness and welfare

I never indulged in talking
With many people about you
But I’m the one who yearned
Every moment in life for you

From early days to date
If I mused in life going ever
To a soulmate seeking love
Your thought came first and foremost forever.
