Thoughts...Feelings...

Mind is stationary,
But thoughts wander.
Heart is stationary,
But feelings saunter.

Thoughts and feelings,
Sometimes run away,
Since mind and heart,
Seem to have no sway.

Many a time I have tried,
To keep my thoughts in check.
But more often than not,
I ended up as a nervous wreck.

Many a time I have tried,
To rein in wayward feelings.
But more often than not,
I have found myself reeling.

On the supremacy of mind over matter,
In my brain, I hear a non-stop chatter.
But then a surfeit of feelings overpowers,
My ability to think and analyze, for hours.

Coordination of mind and heart,
Is so much like mastering an art.
Sometimes thoughts dictate feelings,
And sometimes feelings the thoughts.
