I want to
Break free
From the
Shackles
Of slavery
That confine
Me in this
Place.

There's a
World out
There that
I want to
Go out -
And see
For I feel
Lonely in
This place.

Someone
Has to be
Wise enough
To be able to
See that I'm
Not happy -
In this place.

I want someone
To come and
Rescue me...
For I'll die of
Dejection -
In this place.

(I wrote this poem after reading a book on slavery.)
