Sublime Flame
by N S Ramachandran
Bookmark and Share
  Wintry sky with ruffled bloom
Wading the soul into sunless gloom
Nothing to light up the sunken spirit
Felt like wingless bird in a pit
Wafting clouds tore by a streak
Silver stream started to break
Came like a shower on parched earth
Castled me with coy countenance
Left in two minds all at once
Bartered smiles, inane utterance
Barricaded creeper crossing the fence
Unbridled passion flares into flame
Sucked into the vortex of sublime.
