Sometimes I Wish

Sometimes I wish
If I could go back to my childhood
Not so much keen to be a child yet again
But to relish my blissful mother’s lap again...

Sometimes I wish
If I could become a teenager once more
Not to stay away from responsibilities
But to relive life’s best moments yet again...

Sometimes I wish
If I could revisit my graduation class
Not to seek any better grades
But to relive the ecstasy of first love again...

Sometimes I wish
If I could regain my prime youth
Not to seek a change of life partner
But to relive her friendship and care again...

But then I realize
That time gone can never come back
So why not take things as they are...
And enjoy life fully as it comes now on.
