Sometimes words fail
to create the magic
as desired
and well-intended;
The concrete turn abstract
as if it were
the sense smashed
to naught
and nothing extended...

For they are hard
of hearing,
prone to feeling numb;
I eat my words back
but back
for feeding the bard
hungry inside,
keeping heart gagged,
outwardly:
all mum and dumb.
