If you agree
give a smile, a soft touch
even if indiscreet
in extending help.

A new relation is born
a fresh linking of man it is
convoluted but soluble
on stipulation that you care,
to widen a hand retreating.

You could write an epic
like Homer’s Iliad
or Vyas’s Mahabharata.

Plan a leisurely meandering,
perhaps a visit in a moonlit night,
or a silent journey up a lonely hill
to black tea on a wayside stall,
a meagre lunch in a hut
of a saint naked and abusive.

**
You could plan a warm crush
with a woman cute and glib
of a shadowy past,
who appears to be adventurous.

Or you could build a life
of legends and myths
of poetry in requiems melodious,
in an age of moon’s digging
a serious possibility it should be.

It is faint yet credible
to live in legendary imaginings,
in a fairyland and magic
of Babu’s figures,
supported by khadi or saffron,
in distorted sums of algebra.

**
When one is lost
and as scientists explore
space and time in utter vacuum,
leaking out growth concealed
it turns out interesting.

Rhythmic music blurs this time
shades of life look elusive,
perhaps it can happen
if there is truth in relations,
it is really very easy,
but not sober and precise
it befuddles and keeps hate struck.

A wrong belief within burns,
soggy and fusty it is inside
in such a confluence,
warm bond could take birth
if faith unclear instills hopes
not lost in baroque intensity.
