Innocence Lost

It has been ages now
Since our innocence was lost
One blank slot in my album
Still bothers me in solitude...

"May I have the liberty to snap
Just a solo shot of yours...?"
"Well! then what you will do
With my single photograph...?"

That certainly was not the end
But a turning point of life
That then took a zigzag course
Taking a heavy toll on innocent life.

You still remained a friend forever
Dearer than any other thing in life
I continued my journey of a loser
Yet many worldly achievements in life.

When I look back in retrospective
At the spectrum of life even now...
I find you in many moods around
Gloomy, detached, radiant and smiling.

Though gently accepted and pursued
Whatever was destined in life
But I continue to miss even now
One shot that never materialized.
