Mixed Feelings

When some feelings move on
A wrong track, their wanton heart runs
Faster than a superfast train,
Through the dark tunnel of silence
Into the territory of distress...

Smiles get crushed
And happiness is maimed
By the speeding wheel of time.
Sorrow starts bleeding continuously
From temples to toes...

For it causes deadly accidents
In the neuro-emo zones
Wrecking massive havoc
In the inner core of bruised being
Who cries out in deep agony...

Heart-breaking news continues
Ever scrolling on the face
On the screaming screen of life.
Belting out the woes, an injured self
Needs a psychosomatic tranquilizer.

Sweet soothing words descend
From the depth of realization
That pacify and placate the offended;
Love, peace, patience, harmony-
The only way to heal the wounded.
