Sun and Moon

The sun kisses the beams
In the courtyard
And climbs up the top roof to atone
For his act of love
And of passion
Or one time (mis)deed?

Almost hidden
From the vigilant eyes of the day
The moon seems to carry
On her fair face
The love-bites stamped
A dark spot?

Robbed of her love 'n' dreams
She curses her lot
Sobbing behind the veil of the night
While he writhes in pain
From dawn to dusk
Burning in another 'fire' within.
