Life is a play
the world a stage
and we all actors
so affirm the seers

Yet, notwithstanding
this knowledge,
one is captivated
by her wonders

Enamored, it matters not
if the glass is raised
as a tribute to
the rains of pleasure

Or drowned agonizingly
in the floods of sorrow
Lamenting on the pain
there is surely no gain

Fascinating it may be
being lost in denial
but meaningful it is to
bravely fight the battle

In this elusive drama
one needs to awaken,
at least once, and
truly grasp the script

To be alive sanguinely
and witness the reality
in the marvelous act of
the ultimate scene

~*~

Everyone’s encounter
distinctively unique
Curtains drawn
Script unchanged

Comment Insight provide sinsight in to life.. I think you are the first person to write that life has a gender. Very true. As it is difficult to understand she it is equally difficult to understand your her. Very meaningful expression

Comment Very well articulated and expressed. Fully spiritual and realistic. Use of "her" and raising glasses are symbolic of human living and "celebration". The ability to separate one from Oneself is to be done to love and live life with equanimity. Nice composition.
