New Year 2021

On this day every year
Euphoria is generated
With food, drinks and dance
Followed by some resolution

I say no more celebration
And no more felicitation
What is the use of a resolution
That is promptly forgotten?

So please don’t fix targets
And don’t make resolution
Accept each day with humility
As opportunity with exultation.
