Spring

Who named this season?

So apt! The earth as it were

suddenly explodes into colours

with an outburst of avian activity

life bustles to propagate itself

and so the wheel of seasons turns

as outside so on the inside

the miracle is repeated

inner spectrums also always swing

after nights of personal winter

the life-affirming spring of interiority

awakens us to the fullness of living

a grace-imbued light begins to radiate

jaded colours regain their vibrancy

we know — these shifting patterns

are an essential richness of life
