In which chemistry and when,
That I felt the thirst for one's
Shot, a tongue of flame.

With her in that festive fire
I burned,
I could have been burnt
Had she come!

What I called Love,
Heart glows, there is neon sign,
Remained more often
Like an island,
Isolated
Deep beneath the flesh and skin!

Pain surfaces in broken waves
As the festivity ends
Though the moment of fervidity
With time
Descends.

I never moved away
From myself,
Tied
With my needs and desires.

After a monsoon
Wiping another pale autumn
Who I find at the flame of forest
Is me,
In love with myself
Once again.
