Stand alone, here!
So queer!
Loneliness must haunt you!

The old, withered, regal pine
bowed his needles humbly
sighed sadly:

Once a grove
now I stand alone…
Greed or need
ambition or temptation
my kins and friends
moved, one by one, for greener pastures…
Every dent
left me bent
every parting pierced my heart
left me broken and hurt…

But no
no one could help
neither they nor me
I learnt to live
among the ruins
to stand alone—
Life’s lesson—
waiting for Time
to bell the chime…
