I Still Love Most

I am in love with

The life-giving sun

The sublime moon

The star-studded sky

Mighty rivers and fountains

Arid deserts and mountains

Plateau, ravine and high seas

Luxuriant green forests

Beautiful flowers and grass

The wild and wilderness

Breeze and torrential rains

In fact every creation

Of the almighty Brahman*

Visible and invisible

On this green planet

And the infinite cosmos…

But in my solitude

In a contemplative mood

Whenever I look back

Whenever I revisit past

A tender figurine emerges

Only to transform into

A live irresistible persona

Of beautiful body and soul

A friend and soulmate

Who committed a heist

At a time, in a spell

In those tender moments

On the body and mind

Of the dreamy teenage boy

Stealing his youthful heart…

The one soul I still love most.

*In Hindu texts, the term Brahman is used for God.
