Veneration

In reverence and fond remembrance
whenever I think of my parents
it is not merely invoking the known,
but taking a step or two
intuitively towards the unknown

Comment Yes. I would like to interpret this in a way that the remembrance invokes the inner faculties and it takes you beyond the known. It is in a way gives a fillip to the inner sight and prepares a path to tread towards unknown territories. These ideas and practices are a part of Theravada school of Buddhism, also known as the path of the Elders. The invoking of " insight" is known as Vipashyana. This developes mental faculties leading to mindfulness. Great lines by you Rajender Sahab.
