Promises, Promises

Politicians make many promises

Before getting elected,

And then they break promises,

Leaving you dejected.

After coming into power,

Their colors they reveal,

Leaving you so sour—

So cheated you feel.

Who are our politicians? They are individuals like the rest of us humans at different states of consciousness. Unless this consciousness is transformed to the spiritual consciousness, change in the outer conduct is impossible. I just received a Whatsapp forward: "MAKE HUMANITY YOUR RELIGION."
