Overcoming Inertia

The morning brightness sent me
scurrying indoors
to the comfort of the AC...

YouTube and WhatsApp
fed my insatiable mind
and left me more agitated.

Later, that night
a sudden power cut -
Reality!

The following dawn,
I was up and about
to beat the sun.

I walked,
not gingerly
but assuredly.
