Yes, indeed. Recently, I learnt the difference between love and devotion. Love, as a divine emotion, is of God. However, it is subject to change, as we witness this in the human scene take the form of breakups in relationships, betrayals, loss of trust over time, if expectations are not fulfilled... Once love is transformed into devotion, nothing can undo the foundation of love upon which it is based. This has been exemplified by God's devotees in all religions who gladly chose to be persecuted rather than succumb to the conditions of rulers, tyrants and religious hierarchies ....
