The City, An Ocean

The city
dances
openly in the light
secretly in the dark. 

From afar
We villagers watch wide-eyed
clap our hands
whistle in delight. 

Then, with hope
We enter the city
blending into its troupe of dancers

Like a pure river
losing itself
in the salty sea.
