The Game

1

At dawn
at dusk
I stand,
somewhere between trees and fields
silent, waiting.

I stretch my eyes wide,
lost in watching…

Light chases darkness
darkness pursues light
They call to each other
as if playing a timeless game.

Time itself plays 'Kho-Kho'
an endless game with no finish line.

No victory, no defeat
only me, alone within
searching with my hands
through joy and pain,
feeling their texture.

........

2

All through the night
a thin drizzle fell
as if hesitant to end.

Morning breaks
foggy, muted.

Trapped in a cage of clouds,
the sun appears heavy
distant, waiting.

My eyes bloom like flowers
ready to greet the light
yet pause between wetness and dryness
uncertain, still.

Between shadow and shine
They search for new roads.

I know well
that cages don’t last,
nor do prisons.

In poetry,
new verses are born,
Fresh patterns emerge.

In life
hidden truths
come to light.

…….

3

The summer’s heat
dried the earth
Its thirst fluttering
like a breath trapped in the wind.

But the four drops that fell last night
shivered with joy
arms stretched wide
welcoming the embrace.

The dry grass, twigs and leaves
drenched themselves
dancing in happiness.

The earth,
like a peacock,
burst into movement.

With just a few drops
it shared its abundance,
bringing light
to the sleeping world.

Yes—like me
this earth too
finds joy in little.

........

4

From the moment my eyes open
to the moment they close
with every breath
my journey continues without pause.

I do not fear
losing my way

My sorrows
light the path before me.

My failures
Carve out new directions.

I am not afraid
that the road will end.

It’s not only highways
even worn footpaths
can lead me home.

Night dissolves
its dark layers peeling away,
And dawn quietly arrives.
