Each morning, a question rises in the east
Each evening, an answer rests in the west
Between the two flows, my passage through life
—
Even the smallest memories
flare softly in the heart
Like stars somewhere, sometime
—
Feet worn down by endless walking
learn, when they pause
That the path has always been here.
—
When I speak your name
silence begins to sing within
and a floral breath
moves through newborn nerves.
—
When rain finally falls,
small summons stir in the soil
not as plants but as hopes.
—
By day, the world runs breathless
by night, it falters and grows still
Dream alone becomes truth.
—
When you smile just once
The shape of my mind shifts;
Somewhere inside a lamp is lit.
—
When a book is opened
sleeping knowledge glimmers awake
along with the inspiration that has been waiting.
—
In folded, timeworn letters
lie words long hidden in the heart
Only when unfolded do they reveal their meaning.
—
A river crossing ridges and valleys
to reach the sea never forgets its journey
Even in merging, it does not lose itself.
—
Daylight pauses at your smile,
the heart shivers all at once.
Even the wind utters your name
—
When hands meet, it is a handshake.
Only when hearts meet
It becomes love’s tremor
—
The shade of a tree, the song of a bird
let time briefly forget itself
That is nature’s own yoga.
