Happiness Greeting Me

Waking up from bed

I have my eyes popped

At the spectacle

Outside my window.

A tiny, gold-hued bird

With a long break, perched

On an electric wire, swinging

Gently like a child in a cradle,

Fluttering its wings, chirping

Melodiously and ceaselessly.

"How happy it is!" I wonder.

I feel like happiness greeting 

Me in this sunlit morning.
