Being brought up
To believe in God,
In a strict upbringing
Of diurnal rituals and
Customs, I was socially
Conditioned to become
And remain a Theist.
But over the years,
When I ventured
On my own in my
Life's journey, through
Introspection, experience
And self-discovery, seeing
People, places and events
Around me, my steadfast
Belief in God faded, and
I became an Agnostic.
Now in my Fifties,
Having lived my life
Over five decades,
Nearing the last few
Decades of my life,
I don't know how long
I'll live and whether till
Death, till my last breath,
I'll remain an Agnostic or
Revert to theism, or turn
Towards Atheism - Only time
Will tell, before it's time for
Heaven or hell, even that also
I don't know, perhaps God knows. |
