The Death Bed

In a stoic state of retrospection,
As she lay dying on the bed
She thought of all the words
She had said
To her Beloved

Some sweet, some sour
Some soothing, some jarring
Some savvy, some seductive...

Of all the words she remembered
That night, that moment
Those few last breaths
Of her fading life'

Were the words Immortal '
That would forever live on
In the heart of her Beloved
Long after she's dead and gone'

'I will always love you'.
