  Magical moon sneaks out stealthily
from the feathery gallery of clouds
as you stand by the veranda.
Night's nightingale sings a love song
in praise of your ankle-long dark tresses.
Stars weave a silvery web of enchanting dreams,
while tranquil sleep shuts the windows of your eye-lids!
Wild flowers hold their fragrant breath
when you pluck a smile so sweet.
Sandalwood scent of your bare body
still lingers on the satin sheets,
you slept last night'
Orange sun shimmers
in the sky of your forehead
after dawn wakes you up
from your deep slumber
and your kohl-black eyes
cage reminiscence of my
solitary reflection
forever'
