Ours was a marriage of limbs.
A lone firefly,
both officiating priest and holy fire.
Weaving circles of neon blessings.

You gathered my fingers in yours
and laid my dreams against your chest.
With infinite care, I felt your lips
press words on the parchment of my eyes

Petal soft, it drizzled.
an aching tenderness
Enough, I thought then.
all I needed was here.
