The golden yellow-brown colors,
Of overgrown ripe Teff leaves,
That stretched in a never-ending sight,
Dazzling in the morning breeze,
Transmitted a rich odor in my nostrils,
A fragrance rare,
Awakening a sense of delight,
As I walked through the mountainous road-side,
Inhaling the freshness around me,
My mind in perfect peace,
In a state of tranquility never before seen;
For the mind within,
That controls my other senses,
Is held tight unwittingly within me,
Before it could break loose,
And lead me, to utter confusion.
