Celebrating Solitude

Why is there always
a feeling of something going
to vanish soon
after your sudden departure
Dear Mother?

I could not
get rid of this fear
that all that’s good
will spring one day
to its feet
and go away
before long
and haunt in the memory
like the sound heard
from a continuing distance
of a vibrating gong.

Comment It reminds me of the quote: "I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life."...By the man who became the President of America...
Mothers never depart...as long as you are there....you were a part of her...." So a part of her and all her precious thoughts that you are carrying...isn't your mother with you only?
