Feelings

The morning dew and those flowers,
my dreams and the colors of a rainbow,
I wanted to gift you my child.
In return, I needed only a
warm smile, a word to cheer
and a soothing hand from you.
I did not crave for that
expensive gift you gave.
To conquer the horizon,
you walked away from me
to forget that once you
needed me for everything.
I can understand that but
I cannot run away from my feelings.
