Daylight Savings Time and the Hands in It

This sunny day reminded me of love -
of walking on the beach with someone new.
Of making plans and thanking God above,
while hand in hand like I was once with you.
This sunny day reminded me of heat,
between the sheets, a lustful, muggy night.
What better way to make a day complete?
Still hand in hand beneath the nude moonlight.
This sunny day reminded me of much.
The days and nights we shared until the pain.
No longer hand in hand, just out of touch.
These moments just remind me of the rain.
The days you left, just two hands did we shake.
Reminded everyday a day, can break.
