Wake up Call

Was it the alarm that woke me up?
Or was it the soft breath beside me?
My heart says to me it was neither
The quiet moon light reflected through designer panes
Hum of leeches in tune with flickering stars
A momentary break in my beautiful dream
And there was I waiting
Wondering what awoke me up from my dream delight
And realize the subconscious melody in my heart
Of my partner swaying us on ocean waves
Unmindful we can drown
After all love is an emotion that never departs this life
