No longer can I bear this pain
Here alone I spend my time
Counting my days, looking at your way
But my love you don’t come.
My days pass, my nights pass, everything passes
And I only wait.
I have lost my strength
I have lost my sleep
My tears have also dried up
Like shedding flowers...
One by one all my hopes are dying
No more can I bear this pain.

Translation of one of the sweetest love songs – Sahena jatona/Dibos gonia gonia birole/Nishidin bose achhi sudhu pathapane cheye/Sakha he elena – by Rabindranath Tagore. Both its lyric and music are so simple and yet so moving! The original song with its swaralipi or notation is at http://www.rabindra-rachanabali.nltr.org/node/6520.
