With a doctorate in Theoretical Nuclear Physics from the City University of New York, Dr. Harindranath is a senior professor with Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP), Kolkata. He is Coauthor of more than fifty publications in international journals. He has also been a Guide to four Ph. D. theses in the area of Quantum Field Theory. Extra curricular activities: Won first prize in Malayalam poetry competition, school division, conducted by Mathrubhumi Weekly in 1971 and 1972. (Poems "Dussasanan" and "Anudyutaparvam" inspired by Vyasa Mahabharata.)
