Ignorant Love

Thousand times
He wrote her name
Yet remained unaware
Why he felt so elated
In her close proximity.

Umpteen times
She let her choice known
Yet remained uncertain
What she envisioned
In his close friendship.

By the time
The realization came
It was their love calling
Their luck had run out
And life threw them apart.
