Vestigial Love
|
by Dr. Jaipal Singh |
|
|
I you so wish
You can take away all,
What is mine.
Knowledge earned over years,
Identity of sheer hard work,
Social status today I enjoy,
Then there is always some
Amount of wealth and fortune.
But please don't ever ask
To share my memories and pain,
Which are not mine.
I am just a trustee.
It's the vestigial love
Of a short but intense fairy-tale
Which on departure, she left behind
And I had to live with it
In my memories as endless pain.

You are so kind and generous, Dr Kumarendra. It's a paradox! Otherwise I sincerely believe, a pain is personal and we should spread love, peace and joy.

Very sensitive composition, Jaipal ji. Not only you have tears in your eyes, you cloud each reader's eyes. Lovely.
