Heartbreak

  After a heart-rending silence
Through a lifetime passed
As if it was only other day
A time-bomb exploded at last
Silent but some smoke and fire
Something was broken yet again
Someone was at loss yet again
But impact was subtle and wane
It reached only to lonesome heart
In a way one has satisfaction
Yet a bit apprehension
Lest it caused some others any loss.

To derive an analogy
Had to travel in a time capsule
To revisit a rather hazy past
With some forgotten memories
With some dormant thoughts.
Then it was a meteoric event
Explosion was silent, impact large
And heavy clouds of smoke and fire
Lasted for very long
So was the magnitude of loss
A multi-fold impact on some
A heartbreak for twosome
A heartache in time to come
Good! things have changed since
Destiny has a saved some
Now it's only one person's loss.
