Have You?

Have you
Ripped your
Heart apart?

No?

Have you
Rinsed
Your
Brains
Out?

No?

Have you
Bared your
Soul and
Body?

No?

Then
How
Can you
Write
Poetry?

Rip your
Heart
Apart
Launder
Out your
Brains
Strip out
Your
Soul
And body
And stand

Naked
Before
Me...

Then we'll
See
How well
You can
Write
Poetry!

Comment "To be able to see oneself straight faced in the mirror is not an art, but the ability to see oneself stark naked." - I wrote these lines when writing "Why Kabir?" I get the same crystal clear feelings in your poem. Excellent. May this boldness and clarity magnify in your next.
