Sordid Spring

Sun shone through cedar tree
Subtly creating a divine spree
Walked with you by the stream
Walloped in soulful dream
Hoped for an eternal bliss
Every moment to be an abyss
Season of spring about to loom
Flowery fragrance in full bloom
Fallen leaves tossed and turned
Gold to russet and stark red
in merciless flow of valley winds
blowing the paper proclaiming the end
with a promise to remain a friend
ever the unkindest cut to date!
Is it always written in the fate?
