Trees

Trees are standing still
In the winter chill;
The sun is glowing
But hardly bestowing
Any warmth today,
So they quietly pray
For an early spring,
Which will bring
April showers,
Leaves and flowers,
Bees and birds,
And poetic words
Saying how awesome
Is spring blossom.
