The dreary morning began in darkness
The mid-morning dull and gray almost got to me
This desolate winter had taken its toll
trampling the human spirit that wanted to soar

The eyes believed what it was shown
but the mind wandered what was beyond
these dark stormy clouds
unseen to the worldly senses

Then a breath of fresh air landed
and cleared the foggy darkness
revealing the most breathtaking
grandeur of the luxurious landscape

Were the clouds the reason
for this unbridled beauty?
The beauty was there all along
Just needed my spirit to find it.
