The Loss

In an empty, dark room
Having shut all
Doors and windows
I was in consultation
With my pains
And sorrows

I had put
All calls
On hold
And instructed
None should enter
Till so told

See the
Irony
How the
Destiny
Its dice throws

While I was
Sitting thus enclosed
With so many
Dolours and woes
Missed out on
Something that
I always sought,

Happiness came and
Knocked at my door
Waited a moment only
And no more,

Said it was
The wrong address,
and went off to
Some other place.
I remain here
Sans solace.
