Life's A Prison

Life is a prison for sure, Long years of incarceration, one has to endure! Emotions and relations, are the fetters, Which are exacerbated, through emails and letters! Societal stigma, familial ties and peers act as a check, In whose hands we surrender, our neck! Freedom is often traded or lost, But none knows, at what cost! On others, we become so reliant, Even if we think of ourselves, as a giant! Our choice is never really ours, Through others' thoughts and opinions, it always flowers! Our true independence, we never really experience, But we derive great joy, by fooling our common sense!
