Born in the year 1961 at Chapra in Bihar, I have put in 35 plus years in Customs & Central Excise having been keenly involved in implementation of indirect tax laws governed by Central Board of Customs & Indirect Taxes. Though a gold medalist in BA Eng (Hons) and First Class Second in MA (Eng) in the academic session 1977-79 & 1979-81 respectively from Bihar University Muzaffarpur in Bihar, I joined Central Excise Deptt to eke out a living though joining this service was not my cup of tea. I ventured out to write poems, posted in a number of Face book poetry groups, which had a good number of English poets from different parts of the world including Professors of different universities of India. My amateurish pieces were well received and well appreciated to my utter surprise as I had started writing from 2010 consequent upon some eventful happening in my life.
