Born in the year 1961 at Chapra in Bihar, he has put in 35 plus years in Customs & Central Excise having been keenly involved in implementation of indirect tax laws governed by Central Board of Customs & Indirect Taxes. Though a gold medalist in BA Eng (Hons) and First Class Second in MA (Eng) in the academic session 1977-79 & 1979-81 respectively from Bihar University Muzaffarpur in Bihar, he had joined Central Excise Deptt to eke out a living though joining the said service was not his cup of tea. He ventured out to write poems (at a much later stage of life) posted in a number of Facebook poetry groups, which had a good number of English poets from different parts of the world including professors of different universities of India. His “amateurish” pieces were well received and well appreciated to his utter surprise as he had started writing from 2010 consequent upon some eventful happening in his life.
