Dr. T. S. Chandra Mouli

Dr T. Sai Chandra Mouli, is a former Professor of English, Railway college, Osmania University, Secunderabad [opted for V/R in March,2008].He  is a poet, translator, critic. He was a Visiting Fellow at Nagaland University, Kohima [Nov, 2005]. His translations of Telugu poetry and fiction into English are extensively published. He completed translation assignments for institutions of higher learning. Seminar director for two National Seminars [one sponsored by U.G.C] on ‘George Bernard Shaw and His Plays,’ he completed a (U.G.C) M.R.P and delivered plenary lectures in U.G.C National Seminars/Conferences/Workshops.

Vice-Chairman of AESI[ Association for  English Studies in India]  presently,elected consecutively for a second term in Hyderabad, his publications include (edited/co-edited) nineteen anthologies of literary criticism.His third volume of poems 'Hopping on Hope' was launched in University of East Anglia, Norwich,U.K. in November 2015.

Dr Mouli's 26th book titled "Identity  and Culture in Literature"  has been launched in 62nd All India English Teachers' Conference hosted by Osmania University Centre for International Programmes[OUCIP], Hyderabad on 18.01.2018.His 27th book titled  ' A Bend in the Corner' carrying poems translated from Telugu text  'Moola Malupu' written by Dr Enugu Narsimha Reddy has been published in August 2020.His 28th book 'Celebration'   
published in October 2020, is an anthology of Telugu poems of Asha Raju dwelling on the theme of 'Rain' translated into English. His 29th book 'Bhagiratha's Bounty ' an athology of Telugu poems of Kandukoori Sreeramulu, on 'Water' as the  theme, translated into English was published in November 2020.His 30th book 'Sparklers' an anthology of poems in English has been launched on 1.1.2021.An antholgy of Telugu poems   ' Deepa Khadgam' by Dr Penna Shivaramakrishna,has been translated into English titled  'Lamp A Sabre'.It is his 31st book which was published in February 2021.His 32nd book 'Incessant Journey and Other Poems' an anothology of Telugu poems of Kavi Yakoob translated into English was published in December 2021.This also marks 7th Telugu iterary work translated into English by Dr Mouli. His 5th poetry anthology ' Radiant Redeeemers' (April2022) is his 33rd book.'They' an English version of Telugu long poem 'Moodava Manish' written by Renuka Ayola was published in June2022, celebrated as Pride Month in U.S.A in recgnition of struggles and triumph of transgengenders and this is his 34th book [8th Telugu literary text in English translation.].Department of Language and Culture.Telangana State Government published Sripada Subrahmanya Sastry's long story' Margadarsi' translated from Telugu into English with the title 'The Trailblazer.' This collaboratively translated text has been translated and edited by Dr Mamidi Harikrishna, Director, Dept of Language and Culture, Telangana State Government and Dr T.S.Chandra Mouli. This is 35th book published by Dr Mouli. 'Shakila and Other Stories,'( June 2024) an anthology of Telugu short stories selected by the author Dr L.R.Swamy and translated by Dr Chandra Mouli into English is his 36th book.It is the10th Telugu literary text to be translated by him into English covering texts in all genres in Telugu.

'Coolie the Sovereign' a Telugu play ['Kuuli Raju' written by Padmabhushan Dr Boyi Bheemanna] translated into English was launched in Sept, 2012. His authored work includes 'Dynamics of Translation: An Indian Perspective', 'Delightful Dawn'&'Graceful Green' [books of poems] , 'Perspectives on Twenty First Century Literary Criticism' and 'Black Lotus' : Telugu Dalit Women's Poetry'. His poems in English carry his pseudonym Sony Dalia. He is a Fellow of Royal Asiatic Society,Great Britain and Ireland. A member on editorial boards of many journals of repute, he is the Chief Editor of VIRTUOSO, a Refereed Transnational Bi-Annual Journal of Language and Literature in English, which is approved by U.G.C for publishing research papers.

He made panel presentations in International Conferences in the Chinese University of  Hong Kong, Hong Kong (China), Suan Dusit Rajbhat University,Thammasat Unversity,Bangkok (Thailand) ,Ateneo De Manila Unversity,Manila (Philippines), Universiti Uttara Malysia, Langkawi, Kedah[Malaysia], University of East Anglia, Norwich,U.K,  PGRI University Adi Buana, Surabaya (east Java), Universitas Muhammadiyah,Surakarta(Central Java), Indonesia and University of Colombo, Colombo(SriLanka).He delivered keynote speech in an International Conference in City Universitaire de Paris,Paris,France in April2017.He conducted a workshop in World Congress of IUAES 2018, in Universidade Federal Santa Catariana, Florianopolis(Brazil) in July2018.He made a presentation in International Conference conducted by Pannasastra University of Cambodia in Siem Reap where World Heritage site Angkor Wat is located (Cambodia), in January 2019 and APLX2019 conducted by National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei,Taiwan. He visited Singapore,Vietnam, 
Sumatra [Indonesia] as a tourist. He made a presentation on translation studies in University of Sydney, Sydney [Australia] in August 2019 and on linguistic anthropolgy in CALA 2020 conducted by Universiti Putra Malaysia, in Bintulu, Sarawak, [Borneo], Malaysia from 5-8, Feb 2020,and online presentations in conferences held at Le Havre (France) twice, Kyoto (Japan), Barcelona(Spain),Krokow ( Poland), Le Mans(France), Ferarra(Italy)  Vilnius (Lithuania) and Bucharest(Romania). He  attended online events in Glasgow(Scotland,U.K), Dublin (Ireland,U.K), Rome (Italy),Tallinn(Estonia) Innsbruck(Austria),Cordoba (Spain) and Banska Bystrica (Slovakia) in 2021,  Vienna(Austria),U,K,Seoul(South Korea),Lisbon(Portugal), London(U.K) in 2022 and Fukouka (Japan)  as well as onsite presentations in  UP Diliman University ,Manila(Philippines) and Universitas Muhammadiyah, Surakarta(central Java, Indonesia) in 2023.
His translation of Yakoob's Telugu poems into English are included in the syllabus of M.A. Translation Studies in Mumbai University, Mumbai from 2022.
