On Stranger Tides

  He was a friend
She was a friend
He was in love
She was in love
In a spate of time
They loved and shared
Infinite space and care
They were a world together
Yet he never said so
And she never let know,
Let him first say so
She honoured the tradition.

Time is omnipotent
In an era of fast paced life
Time and tides wait for none
So times have changed
Equations have changed
They live in the same world
They live in the same span
Have means to communicate
Yet like strangers
They ride and sail on
For more stranger tides
In separate directions
And destinations,
Of course they have reasons
Their own justifications.
