Enjoying the sunshine
on our terrace on a winter afternoon,
I was choked with emotion
to see love all around!

A little bird carrying a twig
to build a small nest on a slender branch -
playing the role of a creator,
I can see love in the heart of a tiny mother!

The sun sets
handing over its rays to the moon
and countless stars to light the earth,
a little to the firefly too to see its path...

I hear love in the whispers of the wind,
in the chirrup of the birds hiding in the trees,
in the cracking sound of the nuts
when the little squirrel makes a feast,
in the rustle of the leaves
when a deer hurries into the bush in some fear.

I perceive love in the clouds
that carry umbrellas to give shed to the poor,
and rain water to quench the thirst
of the earth, and the toiling farmer.

I feel love in the touch of my mother,
thrill of love runs in the child's innocent laughter,
love I smell in the rose garden of her face...
shall I not empty my heart of evil thoughts
and refill it with all this love to treasure?
