Suitable Journey's End

The darkest spot, the proverb goes,
is below the lamp.

For over three years,
a menace called IPL has sprung up.

Some guy, you know who, conceived,
cricket and cine-stars
would be a heady cocktail!

Gullible people would slurp
every bit of the potion.

Behind the scenes,
as the drama unfolds,
is big money lapped up,
left, right, under, over.

Must big money motivation
should always be illegitimate?

Perhaps, it is as well!
When miseries of the world
have to be glossed over
with sleaze and deceit -
(in the garb of
how hard you can hit a ball
with dexterity, by a wooden bat!)
(don’t hard hit a problem,
just bypass it!)
(for problems can never
be eradicated!)
- gaol may be quite suitable
as journey’s end!
