She  had turned a page
In her life's large book
And had setttled down
To start a new chapter

Many sought to distract her
Her friends and family both
Tried very hard to make her
See reason & turn back the page

But She remained adamant
Life she said was too short
To keep revisiting & reviewing
All that one already knows

The past was done with
It was the present that
Needed to be worked on
So as to secure the future

She was crystal clear
In her thought processes
She had turned the page
And  meant to move on
